K9 Lilah

Our hearts are broken over the loss of K9 Lilah. An aggressive cancer took over her spleen and liver, taking a sweet girl who had stolen all of our hearts, especially her battle buddy Sam’s.

Lilah was never just a dog. While Sam thought he was teaching her, she was teaching him so much, too. She took her job seriously and was an incredible service dog. Even at the very end, she was still doing her best to comfort him.

Life gives us no playbook for grief. What an incredible thing to love someone so deeply that saying goodbye hurts this much.

Rest in peace, sweet Lilah. You took such good care of your battle buddy. We’ll do our best to help take care of him now.
