It's important that I stay anonymous but I want to tell you how important my assistance dog is to me. Ever since getting PTSD over 10 years ago, I've never been the same but my dog makes my days easier. There are many triggers that can come along that make my days very difficult, but my dog is an incredible support. I feel less isolated, she interrupts nightmares before they get too disturbing, and she helps me feel grounded when flashbacks happen. There have been a number of positive turning points in my healing over the years and my dog is certainly one of them. I am so grateful to Soldier's 6 for helping us get set up with what we need. It's not always easy to take good care of myself while I'm also caring for many others with PTSD but my dog makes it all possible. Thank you for supporting me. Other assistance dog places I reached out to were either out of state or unwilling to work with us for one technical reason or another, some never even called me back. Soldier's 6 is extremely responsive and supportive and wonderful to work with. I appreciate that Soldier's 6 knows what a gift their services are and I am excited to pay it forward.
